The altcoin massacre continues. BTC dominance at 56.6% while alts bleed out. But a few names are showing relative strength worth watching.
If you are holding alts right now, you are probably not having a good time. Let us look at the carnage:

BTC Dominance Tells the Story
BTC dominance is at 56.6%. That is the highest level since late 2023. Money is flowing OUT of alts and INTO Bitcoin as a flight to safety.
ETH dominance has been hammered to 9.9% โ a level we have not seen since 2020. The Ethereum narrative is at its weakest point in years. Layer 2s are cannibalizing mainnet revenue, and Solana keeps eating market share.
Who Is Showing Strength?
In a sea of -5% to -8% red, a few names are worth noting:
โข BTC: -1.1% โ relative strength king. Only down slightly while everything else dumps.
โข BNB: -2.0% โ exchange tokens holding up as usual. Binance ecosystem still dominant.
โข ETH: -1.5% โ not great, not terrible. Holding $1,950 support for now.
The Rotation Play
Here is the cycle playbook that has worked since 2017:
1. BTC pumps first (we are past this phase)
2. BTC consolidates, alts bleed (we are HERE)
3. BTC breaks out again OR alts catch a bid (next phase)
4. Full alt season (BTC dominance drops below 40%)
We are in phase 2. The pain phase. This is where weak hands get shaken out and strong hands accumulate their alt bags at generational lows.

Do not try to catch falling knives on random alts. Focus on BTC + ETH + SOL as your core. If you want alt exposure, wait for BTC dominance to top out and start declining. That is your alt season signal.
